Students of all levels have maintained our high achiever records in each year's AMEB exams (A+ or A). This is the primary reason for Mr. Mou's "Best Teacher" award.

HSC music exams

Students achieve almost full marks on a yearly basis, for example, Vivian Xia has entered a Music and Medicine double degree with scholarship at the University of Sydney, based on her mark of 99.9% in 2012.

Competitions

Since 1998, Mr. Mou's students have received more than 200 awards from the annual music competitions in the Sydney region.

Students receive 25 awards a year on average. It sets the record for the violin teachers in the Sydney area.

(Only 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes are counted, excluding "Highly Recommended” prizes)

Music Scholarships

Since 2000, students have been admitted into prestigious private schools with full scholarships on a yearly basis, with an average of AU$150,000 per person. Schools include MLC, Meriden, Shore, The Kings, PLC, Danebank, Ascham, Tara Anglican, Mcdonald College and Trinity Grammar.

Conservatorium and Orchestras

For many of the past years, the academy has trained countless talented violinists. Many students serve as leaders and solo performers in the Sydney Youth Orchestra, as well as studying at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with scholarships.

Artistic Performances

The Australian Chinese Migrant Association Violin Ensemble has been established and conducted by Mr. Mou since 1998. It is an experimental ensemble that rehearses and performs all year around, and opens to the invitations of the whole Australian society. All of the violinists in the ensemble are students of the academy. This group enjoys a high reputation in both the mainstream and multicultural communities, and is invited as performance guests on multiple occasions every year.
